How our new Web Sites are making a difference for these local businesses in Waynesville and Maggie Valley, NC.

We are a web site design company that can include the “bells and whistles” in your site. Broadband is becoming the standard, and the Internet is becoming the most used means of information gathering.  It’s no longer a question of whether you have a web site or not, but how good is it. Ask yourself "How's my web site working for me?" Is your web site bringing you business, customers, and referrals?  Are your customers coming to see you after they visit your web site?  Or are they going somewhere else?

Broadband penetration in the US broke 60% for the first time in August, 2005. And studies have shown that when the home user starts browsing with broadband over dialup the amount of time they spent online went from an average of 3 hours per week to 12 hours per week, which is almost the amount of time people spend watching television per week. *

We believe that a web site can yield the most effective return on your marketing dollar.  Most people don't realize what an opportunity a web site can be. It is there to represent your company to your customers when the customer wants to know more! It's never closed, never tired, never has anything else on its mind and always stands ready to convey the best message you have to offer. And it works for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

We have many ideas that can help you promote your business online.  We would like to talk with you about your ideas, what you are currently doing to promote your company and where and how you see your company growing.  We will incorporate your company vision into a web site that is compelling, action oriented and informative. Please review the website designs we programmed for these Waynesville and Maggie Valley NC businesses.

Laurel Ridge Country Club
www.laurelridgegolf.com

Laurel Ridge Country Club invited CGI Group to revamp their existing website. We created a new look for the public and a new members only section. The members only section now includes an events calendar where any member can post an event. And the administration of Laurel Ridge can easily keep their members updated on construction, changes, and other news happening at the club.

Town of Waynesville
www.townofwaynesville.org

The Town of Waynesville, NC went from a static html based
web site that was difficult to manage and update to this
dynamic database site. The conversion has made it possible for Human Resources to easily post job openings. And for the Town Clerk to announce the agenda for Aldermen meetings, to post the minutes of those meetings, to poll Waynesville citizens on various topics, send newsletters to subscribers and post public events.

There are hundreds of pages of information. And you will find forms to submit such as a request for utility service or to report problems such as a clogged storm drain, etc. This site has thousands of visitors every month.  If you want to know what's happening with the Aldermen or Town Hall Meetings, you can find it here.

Smoky Mountain Retreat
www.smokymountainretreat.com

This site is a standing invitation to visit the Smoky Mountain Retreat. The opening Flash Animation says it all, it redefines mountain living.  Our favorite part of this site is the availability calendar for all of its vacation rental properties.  Any client may make a reservation and when the request form is filled out, the calendar references that pending reservation by turning those requested dates yellow on the calendar.  Smoky Mountain Retreat will then receive the information and confirm the reservation.  Once confirmed, the calendar will change the pending "yellow" dates to "red" confirmed dates.  And note the half day pending/confirmed color scheme to indicate check-in check-out dates.  SMR's customers know immediately what is available and that the pending reservation they see on the calendar is theirs!

"Our home owners love the availability calendar and our reservations have doubled! "
Pam Ring, Smoky Mountain Retreat.

Grace Cathey
www.gracecathey.com

This energizing site almost has Grace Cathey's metal sculptures popping out from the screen. Through this site, Grace has been able to showcase her work and describe her her designs by taking her clients through a virtual tour of her studio and sculpture garden. She also includes a case study where she takes you through her process step by step.

This is a database site that uses a catalog to showcase individual pieces.  Grace is knows that her audience will browse the web site looking for ideas and inspiration.

Textures
www.texturesonmain.com

John and Suzanne Gernandt wanted a sophisticated opening on their web site to introduce Textures - a captivating new store and working studio, located on Main Street in Waynesville.

This site places a well deserved spotlight on John Gernandt whose talent designing fine furniture is showcased. As well as Suzanne Gernandt's highly regarded textile art.

On the home page you will see Texture's featured artist of the month. And on the inside you will find many pieces of art just calling you to visit.

J. Arthurs's Restaurant <

J. Arthur's Restaurant - Maggie Valley

One the items on J. Arthur's wish list when they thought about a new web site was a Guest Book. They have many visitors every year and wanted to give them a voice on their web site.

The restaurant owners also wanted a site they can change on a regular basis, i.e.: new item on their menu, a change in prices or a change in hours.   And the site design needed to change with the seasons. So there are different seasonal designs in the system for them. Sometimes it's Christmas sometimes.... summer, etc.. And now that it's fall... that change only took one minute to make.

Season To Season Promotions

www.stspromotions.com

This site is an extremely active site, both for the public and for Season to Season Promotions. Bob and Wanda Jones came to us needing a revised site. One that could be expanded to an unlimited number of pages and could be updated in minutes.

This spirited site is designed to let the public know what Festivals are coming, what can be found when they go, music, entertainment, food, arts and crafts vendors, location, admission and a host of other information.

You should definitely bookmark this web site for up to date information of great events coming in your area. Look for this to be expanded soon with local publication information!

Waynesville Gallery Association

www.waynesvillegalleryassociation.com

We were approached by the Waynesville Gallery Association to design a web site not only to showcase all of the gallery members, but to highlight a chosen artist. You will see the current artist Stephen Savage's work throughout the site..

One of the highlights of the site is an interactive map. When the page loads, click on the name of the store and a photo of the front door appears as well as the location of that store in the downtown Waynesville area. Every "open door" is your invitation to wonderful works of art and gift items.

Christy Bishop Photography
www.cbishophoto.com

Christy Bishop approached us to help her design a site that would be classy and elegant.   The design has a clean minimal look which puts the focus where it should be, on her work.

Gospel For Man
www.gospelforman.com

This is a faith-based site that allows users to listen to pre-recorded radio broadcasts on various biblical topics. The site allows downloadable broadcasts as well as broadcasts for online listening.

Gospelforman is one of our clients that takes advantage of our office lobby. Our fast access Internet connections make uploading MP3 files much easier than the overnight dialup routines. We have two computers equipped with scanners for print and film available to our clients. If you're familiar with the mountains of Haywood County then you know there are plenty of areas where cable modems and DSL Internet connections are not yet available. And for that reason, we have made computers available for our local clients to use in updating their sites. There is no charge and there's always coffee.

Satellite and Cellular and HDTV

Barry and Sherry Garnes approached us to produce a television commercial to market Dish Network.

They wanted a fast paced, animated 30 second spot, packed with action. This commercial aired on WLOS for a number of weeks. We later compressed this for them to put on their website.

We are at heart a 3D animation company so we were able to show a little of our animation skills in this project.  This 30 second spot was designed and produced entirely in our office.
