Using Flash

Flash Animation and Video

Many of our clients enjoy the versatility and excitement that Flash animations can bring to a web site. From Flash introduction bannersto training videos, there are many applications that benefit from the use of Flash. One such application is the interactive map on the Waynesville Gallery Association's web site. This map allows users to select a gallery and the gallery's location is shown on the map.

Flash banners add excitement as well as information to any web site. Banners are used on many of our client's sites, including Flint Trading Company, Smoky Mountain Retreat and Preventive Debt Solutions.

Flash doesn't always involve animation. Windows on Main is a rental property that uses virtual tours to allow people to view their rental properties before booking. This site uses an interactive video jukebox, programmed through CGI Group which allows user to view only the properties that they are interested in. (property videos not produced by CGI Group) A similar jukebox is used on the Trantham Family site. This jukebox plays samples of music for each CD that is offered for sale.To find out more about Trantham Family visit their website: www.tranthamfamily.com

Click on one of the songs to the right and listen.

On Christy Bishop's web site, Flash slide shows allow users to enjoy her professional photography. We chose this method of creating the virtual tours because the pictures are crisp and clean, plus the file size can be easily downloaded by dial-up users. Slide shows can also be used to graphically explain products or services offered, or to showcase samples of work quickly.

We also used Flash to publish training videos for Flint Trading Company. These videos allow new customers to learn the installation procedure for the many products offered by Flint.

Grace Cathey's site is another area where we took the opportunity to use Flash to add interest and excitement. The Flash videos on this site are documentaries that capture some of the creative process involved in the making of these sculptures, as well as introduce you to the artist. There is also a virtual tour of Grace's sculpture garden.
